What this is
PostPilot is a small, self-hosted tool built and used by one person to publish their own
short-form videos to their own social media accounts. It is not a product, not a service, and
is not offered to or usable by anyone else.
How it works
- Video files are produced and stored on the operator's own computer.
- The operator authorizes PostPilot against their own social accounts using each platform's
official OAuth flow.
- PostPilot uploads those video files through each platform's official public API.
- On TikTok, uploads are sent to the account's drafts. The operator opens the TikTok app,
chooses a cover frame, writes the caption, and publishes manually. PostPilot does not
publish directly to TikTok.
Accounts it is used with
A single set of accounts, all owned by the operator, published under the handle
thelatehours217 on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
What it does not do
- It does not access, store, or process any other person's account or data.
- It does not read, scrape, or collect content belonging to other users.
- It does not automate likes, follows, comments, or any other engagement.
- It does not sell, share, or transmit data to any third party.
